Alameda Municipal Power - Engineering and Operations has issued request for proposal, solicitation PS 09-26-01.
Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) is seeking proposals from qualified professional engineering firms to provide on-call pole loading and structural engineering services for AMP’s electric distribution system. Services will support capital projects, maintenance activities, pole replacements, reconductoring, equipment additions, joint-use and third-party attachments, service work, and other activities requiring pole loading or related structural engineering analysis. AMP anticipates establishing up to three five-year on-call professional services agreements. Work will be authorized on an as-needed basis through individual task orders or other written authorization. No minimum quantity of work or compensation is guaranteed.
AMP owns and operates an electric distribution system that requires ongoing evaluation of utility poles as system conditions change due to pole replacements, reconductoring, equipment modifications, joint-use attachments, maintenance activities, and other distribution system improvements. This procurement is intended to establish a pool of qualified engineering firms that can provide responsive, technically consistent, and high-quality pole loading and structural engineering support as needs arise. AMP uses O-Calc Pro as its standard pole-loading analysis platform, and services may include pole loading and structural calculations, field investigation, engineering recommendations, joint-use and joint-pole support, and preparation of native editable O-Calc Pro models and supporting deliverables. Work must comply with applicable requirements, including California Public Utilities Commission General Order 95 and other applicable codes and standards.
Responses are due October 28, 2026 at 12:00 PM PDT.
Questions must be submitted by October 14, 2026 at 12:00 PM PDT.
