Terms of Use

Effective date: September 23, 2026

These terms apply to busybids.org, the BusyBids contractor workspace and related services, including our email services. BusyBids is operated by American Business Software Corp (“we,” “us” or “our”). Contact hello@busybids.org, or American Business Software Corp, Attn: BusyBids, 500 Grand Street, New York, NY 10002, United States.

By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. You must be at least 18 to create or use a contractor account. If you act for a business, you must have authority to use the service and provide information on its behalf.

1. Our role

BusyBids helps contractors discover public procurement opportunities, receive updates and organize potential bids. We collect notices from supported federal, state and local government and procurement sources, organize them by trade and location, and provide source links, editorial material and reading tools.

BusyBids is an independent information service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency. Verify solicitation requirements with the official issuing agency.

We do not issue solicitations, represent an issuing agency, submit or accept bids, certify contractors, or guarantee that a contractor will qualify for or win work. Our service is not legal, financial, insurance, licensing or procurement advice.

2. Official documents and deadlines

The official solicitation controls. Consult the issuing agency's current solicitation, attachments, addenda and instructions before acting. A BusyBids listing, summary, checklist, translation or reader answer does not replace them. You are responsible for registration, eligibility checks, required meetings, complete bid preparation and timely submission through the agency's specified process.

Coverage and updates are incomplete. We do not cover every agency, portal, region or trade. Sources may be unavailable, require registration or change their terms of access. Imports, reviews and notifications can be delayed or fail. The absence of a listing or notification does not establish that no opportunity, requirement or amendment exists.

Check times with the agency. We display available deadline information using the time zone associated with the listing. Source information and time-zone interpretation can be missing or incorrect. Agencies can change or cancel deadlines before BusyBids reflects the change. Do not rely solely on our date display, countdown, calendar information or email reminder.

Attachments stay with the source. We record document links and metadata and, where retrieval is permitted, may temporarily stream a document to detect a change. We do not provide a hosted copy of the procurement package. A change indicator is not confirmation that every addendum has been found or reviewed. Obtain the complete current package from the issuing source.

Report a suspected error using the listing's report option or email us with its URL and solicitation number. Agencies and rights holders can also request correction or removal.

3. Matching, AI and workspace tools

A match score or “strong match” means a notice appears relevant to your preferences and the information available to BusyBids. It is not a statement that you meet the requirements or should bid. Business profiles, licenses, certifications, bonding and insurance information are self-reported and are not independently verified by us.

The bid reader uses rules and, when available, an AI model to analyze notice text held by BusyBids. It does not read the attached bid package. Answers and extracted facts may be wrong, incomplete or outdated. “Not mentioned” means information was not found in that text; it does not mean that no requirement applies. Verify consequential statements against the official documents and with the agency. AI features may be unavailable or subject to usage limits.

Workspace stages, checklists and internal approvals are organizational aids. Marking a bid “submitted” or approving a checklist in BusyBids does not submit anything to the agency. The company library records document details, not file uploads, and does not verify that your documents satisfy a solicitation.

Articles and guides may include AI-assisted content or translations. For BusyBids editorial content, refer to the English version if a translation differs. For procurement requirements, the agency's official documents remain authoritative regardless of language.

4. Accounts, links and teams

Provide an email address you control and accurate information you are authorized to share. Contractor access uses personal email links rather than passwords. Keep these links private; anyone who has one may be able to act as you. Forward a public listing URL or use a team invitation instead of sharing a personal account link.

Opening a valid link can establish a remembered browser session. Sign out on shared devices. Signing out does not disable the original link; contact us promptly if it may have been exposed so we can help replace it.

Team features depend on your account's available seats and permissions. Owners and administrators can manage membership and roles. Members can access shared workspace information, including reader conversations. An already active subscriber can be added to a team without another email-confirmation step. Invite someone only when you are authorized to grant that access. Removing access does not automatically remove prior contributions.

You retain your rights in the business information, notes and questions you provide. You give American Business Software Corp permission to store, process and display that information as needed to provide BusyBids, including to your authorized team and service providers as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not enter confidential bid prices, tax identifiers, banking details or other sensitive material into notes or reader questions.

5. Free service and early-access plans

BusyBids currently takes no payments. Public listings and the Free plan are available without charge. A Pro or Team offer marked “early access” records your interest and selected billing preference; it does not create a paid subscription, reserve a price or authorize a charge. Early-access features may be granted to particular accounts without payment.

Any future paid service will require a separate purchase decision with the applicable price, features and billing terms presented beforehand. Features, account seats and reader allowances may change as the service develops; expressing interest does not guarantee availability or a launch date.

6. Permitted use and content rights

You may browse, search, subscribe, share public links and use the workspace for legitimate business purposes. You may use available RSS feeds and the public API reasonably, subject to access and rate limits. You may quote reasonable excerpts of BusyBids' original material with attribution and a source link, subject to applicable law.

Do not:

  • access another person's account without authorization, misuse personal links or bypass access controls;
  • overload the service, evade rate limits, introduce malicious code or interfere with other users;
  • submit deceptive reports, fraudulent business information, spam or content you have no right to provide;
  • use the service unlawfully, or copy or resell protected BusyBids material beyond an applicable permission or legal exception.

BusyBids' original content, branding and software are owned by American Business Software Corp or its licensors. Government notices, portal material and linked documents may be in the public domain or subject to rights held by their respective owners. Public accessibility does not by itself establish permission to reproduce them. We do not grant rights in third-party material or restrict rights you already have under applicable law. Follow the source's applicable terms when accessing it.

7. Email and privacy

Subscription signup includes email confirmation. Digest preferences and contractor alert settings control different kinds of updates, including reminders and change notifications. Service messages may also follow actions you request, such as saving a bid or changing settings. Use the links in subscription emails to manage preferences or unsubscribe.

Unsubscribing stops subscription delivery but does not itself delete account data or invalidate your account link. A message already handed to the delivery provider may still arrive. Contact us to request deletion or resolve an unsubscribe problem. We process opt-outs promptly and within applicable legal deadlines.

If you receive an introductory marketing email because your business appears in public sources, it does not mean you subscribed or agreed to these terms merely by receiving it. Use its unsubscribe link, reply asking us to stop, or email us to opt out of further outreach.

Our Privacy Policy explains email tracking, account-linked analytics, public business contact data, AI processing, retention and privacy choices.

8. Availability and ending use

You may stop using BusyBids at any time. We may change or discontinue features or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security problems, violations of these terms or legal requirements. Keep your own copies of information needed for a bid; BusyBids is not a document archive or the official record of your submission. Data requests and retention after access ends are covered by the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, BusyBids is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted access, delivery of every email, complete source coverage, correct deadlines or any bidding outcome.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, American Business Software Corp is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business opportunities, arising from use of or inability to use BusyBids. This includes such losses associated with an inaccurate listing, missed alert, reader answer or missed bid deadline.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence or any liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

10. Changes, governing law and contact

We may revise these terms and will post the updated text and effective date. We will provide additional notice of material changes, and obtain agreement where required by law. Continued use after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

New York law governs these terms, without applying its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. Subject to any non-waivable rights, disputes relating to these terms or the service will be brought in state or federal courts in New York County, New York. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
