GREENERY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SERVICES

County of Orange - OC Waste & Recycling has issued invitation for bid (ifb), solicitation IFB-299-3125001-AA.

The County of Orange, OC Waste & Recycling, (hereinafter referred to as County) is requesting competitive bids from qualified vendors (hereinafter referred to as Bidder) for GREENERY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SERVICES. The County has attempted to provide all information available. It is the responsibility of each Bidder to review, evaluate, and, where necessary, request any clarification prior to submission of a bid. The awarded Contract, (hereinafter referred to as Contract) will be between the County and awarded Bidder, (hereinafter referred to as Contractor) in accordance with the model contract terms, conditions and scope of work. This is a fully electronic solicitation – only electronic bids submitted through the County’s online bidding system will be allowed; no other form of bid submittals will be accepted. Prior to submitting a bid, Bidders are advised to carefully read the instructions below, including the model contract and any solicitation attachments and/or exhibits. Orange County Waste & Recycling (OCWR) has identified the need for a maintenance and repair service contract to support greenery equipment at all three active landfills: Valencia Greenery at Olinda Alpha, Bee Canyon Greenery at Frank R. Bowerman, and Capistrano Greenery at Prima Deshecha. This contract will ensure uninterrupted greenery, composting, and resource recovery operations by maintaining equipment used for material handling and organics processing in reliable operating condition.

Responses are due October 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM PDT.

Questions must be submitted by September 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM PDT.

A mandatory pre-proposal conference is scheduled for September 24, 2026 at 9:00 AM PDT at WEATHER PERMITTING: A mandatory pre-proposal meeting/job walk will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Olinda Alpha Landfill (OAL) office building, located at 1942 Valencia Ave, Brea, CA 92823. Details will be provided upon RSVP. If weather is a factor, those who have RSVP’d accordingly will be notified of a re-schedule. Attendance is mandatory in order to participate in the proposal process and is limited to two individuals per Contractor/Vendor. Failure to attend this pre-proposal meetings/job-walk will render the proposal non-responsive. Anyone arriving after the vans have departed to tour the service areas will be disqualified and not allowed to submit proposals. No exceptions. All proposers must sign-in to continue in the Invitation For Bid (IFB) process. This rule will be strictly adhered to without exception or consideration of cause, so please plan according as traffic may be heavy on to route to OAL. Attendees are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while touring in the field. Required PPE is as follows: work boots (at very least closed-toe shoes), hard hat, high visibility vest, sunglasses or glasses will suffice as eye protection. Contractors shall indicate their intent to attend this pre-proposal meeting/job-walk with an RSVP email to abraham.aragon@ocwr.ocgov.com no later than 1pm on September 23, 2026..
