What the agency needs

General Solicitation from San Francisco Airport (Construction) - San Francisco, CA

San Francisco Airport (Construction) - Design and Construction - Procurement and Contracts Section has issued general solicitation, solicitation 12271.41.

This procurement is to award a Project Delivery Partner (PDP) contract to provide a full range of project support and delivery services for The Dianne Feinstein International Terminal Smoke Control and Fire Alarm Modernization Project (Project). This design-build Project will separate the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) controls from the smoke control functions; integrate those smoke control functions into the fire alarm system; replace components that are at the end of their useful life; and upgrade the system to current building codes.

The Dianne Feinstein International Terminal originally opened in 2000, and includes Boarding Area A (BAA), Boarding Area G (BAG), and International Terminal Building (ITB). Many components of the smoke control and fire alarm systems are reaching the end of their useful life and don’t meet current building codes and technology best practices. The design-build Project scope includes replacement of aging system components, modifications to smoke control and fire alarm systems to meet current building codes. The work is anticipated to be implemented in phases to minimize impacts to Airport operations, and comprehensive testing of the fire alarm system. PDP Contractor shall provide the services described in Appendix B, Scope of Services. Appendix B shall be used as a general guide and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of services that may be assigned to the PDP Contractor.
