Request for Qualifications for Construction Services: Gunner's Lake Local Park Renovation

Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission - Montgomery County Parks has issued general solicitation, solicitation P47-111.

The Montgomery County Department of Parks (Parks) of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC or Commission) is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to provide construction services for the renovation of Gunner's Lake Local Park, located at 12671 Grey Eagle Court, Germantown, MD 20874. Proposed amenities include a new playground, picnic pavilion, relocated soccer fields, and additional storm water management facilities. The existing parking lot will be modified to relocate the existing ADA parking spaces and add SWM facilities. Two new pedestrian park entrances will be installed along the east edge of the park which will require new concrete stairways. A new loop path will surround the relocated fields which will include benches and an adult fitness area. The overall construction scope includes site preparation, demolition, tree preservation, erosion and sediment control, grading, drainage, stormwater management, athletic field construction, paving, curbs, stairs, play areas, picnic pavilion, site furnishings, turf establishment, planting, and related site work.

Questions must be submitted by September 29, 2026 at 4:00 PM EDT.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference is scheduled for September 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM EDT at Microsoft Teams. Offerors wishing to attend must RSVP via email by September 21, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. to Christian.Morales@montgomeryparks.org to receive a link to join the Teams meeting. The RSVP shall include each attendee’s name, firm, and email address..
