City of Port Orange - Engineering has issued invitation to bid, solicitation ITB-26-16-CW.
This project consists of the rehabilitation of the (3) three Transfer Pump Stations at the Port Orange Water Treatment Plant for the North, Central and South treatment trains. The (2) two existing vertical transfer pumps in each station will be replaced with upgraded associated piping, pipe supports, electrical and concrete pump pads. Restoration including sod replacement, concrete, soil, and gravel replacement in kind will be required at all disturbed areas.
The Port Orange Water Treatment Plant, officially known as the Garnsey Water Treatment Plant, is the City's primary drinking water production facility. It is located at 4400 Wellfield Drive in Port Orange and is operated by the City's Public Utilities Department. The facility is a conventional lime-softening treatment plant that processes groundwater from approximately 40 production wells and has a permitted treatment capacity of 15 million gallons per day (MGD).
