Charter Transportation Services for Solid Waste Tours

Pinellas County - SOLID WASTE has issued invitation to quote (itq), solicitation 26-0749-ITQ.

Pinellas County Solid Waste (SW) is seeking charter transportation services to support Tours of the Solid Waste Disposal Complex (SWDC). Vehicles may include charter buses, shuttles, vans or other commercial passenger vehicles capable of providing an accessible, comfortable learning environment. Vehicles must be able to safely traverse both paved and unpaved roads, including landfill roads.

SW provides Tours of the SWDC for adults and students in Grade 3 and above. The Tour is an approved Pinellas County Schools field trip, consisting of a classroom presentation and a narrated driving route through the SWDC. Tour attendees learn how trash is processed through Pinellas County's integrated solid waste management system, including a Waste-to-Energy facility and landfill, and about Pinellas County's vision of zero waste to landfill by 2050. The Tour is approximately 90 minutes long.
